A Boy and His Shadow
June – July 2010
In my second exhibition of 2010, I explore identity politics through message and metaphor. The exhibition for A Boy and His Shadow was held at Pivot on SW 4th Avenue, Portland. The show ran for two consecutive months.
A Boy and His Shadow was comprised of eight oil paintings and nine felt assemblage pieces. Of the eight oils, the show featured two distinctly modern interpretations of Gainsborough’s classic Blue Boy, and lesser-known Pink Boy.
Opening Reception
The opening reception was held during Portland’s monthly First Thursday art event on June 3rd.
